Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder. All seams are double-stitched for added durability. Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

Organic fuyu persimmons and brilliant persimmon leaves pulse with vibrant fall color, making a festive statement in this backyard still life.
The persimmons are store-bought, and the leaves were harvested from a home-grown persimmon tree raised from seed in the backyard.
A painterly effect has been added to my original photograph, to bring out the colors and textures.
"Fuyu" Japanese winter persimmons ("kaki") are a non-astringent variety and can be eaten like an apple. They are absolutely delicious and refreshing sliced in salads or placed over ice cream or pancakes. If allowed to over-ripen, they can be mashed and made into a delectable jam sweet enough to stand on its own without adding sugar.
The other variety of persimmons found in stores is the "hachiya" which is heart-shaped with the bottom end coming to a point, unlike the fuyu which is flatter. The hachiya persimmon must be ripened almost to the point of being very soft to mellow its astringency,...
