This Blood Moon on September 27, 2015 is the fourth and final one in the historic prophetic Tetrad (2014-2015).
Known as a lunar eclipse, the one pictured coincides with the Jewish Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles); it comes at the conclusion of the Shemitah (Sabbath) year; and it is a Supermoon (appearing larger than other blood moons due to its closer "perigee" proximity to the earth).
As we were gazing at this Blood Moon, I had the honor of sharing my faith in Yeshua Jesus with a precious couple. I explained the significance of the blood moon tetrads in history, and their connections with Israel, world events and significant turning points and healing movements in Christianity, adding that although the world is getting darker with evil, the BEST days are ahead for those who put their trust in Messiah Yeshua. This is Good News indeed!
The couple with whom I was speaking expressed relief and said it was good to know there is Good News:: The God, Creator of heaven and earth, desires a personal relationship with each person and so desires to bless people as they place their trust in Him.
"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
Only three other times in the past 500 years have four blood moons in a row (a "tetrad") occurred on major Jewish holy days::
1493-1494 -- Spain expelled all Jewish people; Columbus discovers America, an eventual safe haven for the Jewish people.
1948-1949 -- The modern State of Israel is re-born after nearly 2,000 years. At the same time, well-known healing ministers and evangelists (Kathryn Kuhlman, Dr. Oral Roberts, Rev. Billy Graham) begin their ministries.
1967-1968 -- Following the Six-Day War, Jerusalem is re-united with Israel for the first time in 2,000 years. Simultaneously, in America, the world-wide Jesus Movement begins in San Francisco's Haight Ashbury district, and many drug addicts come to faith in Jesus and receive God's love and healing. Many start ministries to reach out to others.
It has been said God created the sun and the moon primarily to alert humanity about big things to come. All four Blood Moons in 2014 and 2015 coincide with the Jewish Feasts of Passover and Sukkot (Tabernacles) respectively. Plus, a total solar eclipse in March 2015 occurred during the month of Purim, a holiday commemorating the Jewish people's victory over their enemies (as recorded in the Book of Esther in the Bible).
I believe God is telling us something:: be on the alert and watch Israel, His prophetic Timepiece. May we live wisely, having understanding of the times like the sons of Issachar (1 Chronicles 12:32).
The times in which we live portend to big changes ahead. Are you ready for the future? Eternity is a long, long time.......forever, without end.
If you have any doubt about your eternal destiny, I invite you to say this from your heart as I did many years ago ::
"Father God, forgive me of my sins. Yeshua Jesus, please come into my heart. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Thank you for saving me today."
If this is the first time you said these words and meant it from your heart, I want to congratulate you and welcome you to the Family of God!
I encourage you to read The Bible, God's Love Letter to you, daily as spiritual nourishment (start with the Book of John), pray to God daily like talking to your best friend, and find a good Bible-teaching church. Place your trust in Jesus.... He will NEVER let you down! And please let me know via e-mail about your most important decision, so that I may celebrate with you!
God bless you, have a super day, and a terrific forever!
Photographic notes:
My photo of this blood moon has been enhanced to bring out the details and to brighten the overall image taken during the near total lunar eclipse. The color itself has not been altered and is the way it came from the camera.
Embedded in the top right-hand corner is the Hebrew acronym for "B'ezras Hashem" [ ב ס " ד ] meaning "with God's help". It is a reminder to me as an artist of my dependence on the Almighty, the Originator of all creativity. This is a similar acknowledgement used by great artists like Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel who signed their work with the Latin phrase, "Soli Deo gloria" which means, "Glory to God alone".
Please note:: The "Fine Art America" watermark in the full resolution preview will not show in the final print purchased.
